La Mar Society provides boutique yacht management, monthly service packages, one-time vessel care services, vendor coordination, inspections, onboard support, owner experience services, lifestyle coordination, future event support, and yacht charter-related services.
Services may include, but are not limited to:
All services are subject to availability, vessel condition, marina access, weather conditions, safety considerations, vendor availability, and the scope of work agreed upon in writing.
Quotes, proposals, service packages, and estimates are based on the information available at the time of the request. Final pricing may vary depending on vessel size, vessel condition, location, marina requirements, access, urgency, materials, labor, vendor availability, and any additional work identified before or during service.
Any work outside the approved scope of service must be approved separately and may result in additional charges.
La Mar Society reserves the right to decline, modify, or reschedule services if the requested work is outside our service scope, unsafe, unavailable, or not suitable for the vessel's condition.
A fifty percent (50%) deposit may be required before scheduling or beginning services. The remaining balance is due according to the invoice, proposal, or service agreement.
Unless otherwise stated in writing, invoices are due upon receipt or within seven (7) days of the invoice date.
Monthly management packages are paid in advance on the date the monthly service period begins. Services may not begin or may be paused until payment is received.
Accepted payment methods may include check, Zelle, wire transfer, ACH transfer, or cash. Payments made by credit card will incur an additional three percent (3%) processing fee.
After a five (5) day grace period, a late fee of 1.5% per month may be applied to any overdue balance, or the maximum amount permitted by applicable law, whichever is lower.
La Mar Society reserves the right to pause, reschedule, or suspend services until the account is brought current.
For one-time services, cancellations or rescheduling requests must be made at least forty-eight (48) hours before the scheduled service.
Cancellations made with less than forty-eight (48) hours' notice may be subject to a $250 cancellation fee.
If La Mar Society or its team is unable to access the vessel at the scheduled time due to lack of access, missing keys, incorrect codes, unavailable authorization, marina restrictions, or other circumstances outside of our control, a $250 access fee may apply and the service may need to be rescheduled.
Monthly management packages do not require a minimum contract term unless otherwise stated in a separate written agreement. Clients may cancel monthly management services with thirty (30) days' written notice.
Deposits, materials, vendor fees, special orders, and work already performed may be non-refundable.
Clients are responsible for providing proper access to the vessel, including keys, gate access, marina authorization, codes, contact information, and any required approvals.
La Mar Society only performs services with authorization from the owner, captain, authorized representative, or designated point of contact.
Clients are responsible for notifying the marina, dockmaster, captain, crew, or any required party prior to scheduled services when approval is necessary.
Clients are responsible for providing accurate vessel information, marina details, access instructions, known vessel issues, prior damage, special restrictions, and any relevant safety concerns.
Clients are also responsible for maintaining appropriate vessel insurance, marina compliance, and any required authorizations related to the vessel.
La Mar Society is not responsible for delays, incomplete services, additional fees, or inability to perform work due to inaccurate information, lack of access, marina rules, unsafe conditions, undisclosed vessel issues, or circumstances outside of our control.
La Mar Society is not responsible for pre-existing damage, normal wear and tear, corrosion, leaks, weak or aged materials, defective parts, mechanical failure, electrical issues, improper prior maintenance, hidden defects, water intrusion, weather-related damage, or any condition not caused directly by La Mar Society.
Clients acknowledge that yacht care and maintenance may involve working around delicate, aged, exposed, weathered, or previously damaged surfaces and systems.
Before and after photos may be taken when appropriate. Written reports may be provided when necessary or when included in the approved service scope.
La Mar Society may coordinate, recommend, or communicate with third-party vendors on behalf of the client. These may include mechanics, captains, divers, marinas, detailers, technicians, provisioners, event vendors, or other marine service providers.
La Mar Society aims to recommend trusted and professional vendors. However, third-party vendors operate independently and are responsible for their own work, pricing, scheduling, insurance, licensing, permits, warranties, and performance.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, La Mar Society is not responsible for the acts, omissions, delays, workmanship, damages, fees, or performance of third-party vendors.
Vendor payments may be handled directly by the client or through La Mar Society, depending on the type of work, vendor arrangement, and coordination structure agreed upon.
La Mar Society does not guarantee 24/7 emergency response. Emergency, urgent, or last-minute requests are subject to availability and may incur additional fees.
La Mar Society reserves the right to decline any urgent request if the service cannot be performed safely, properly, or within the requested timeframe.
Yacht charters, onboard experiences, events, and lifestyle services may be subject to additional terms, availability, third-party requirements, vessel rules, captain or crew requirements, marina restrictions, weather conditions, safety regulations, and applicable maritime laws.
La Mar Society may assist with coordination, planning, or support services, but all charter operations, passenger limits, captain requirements, crew selection, insurance, permits, and regulatory compliance must comply with applicable laws and regulations.
Additional agreements, waivers, deposits, cancellation policies, or vendor terms may apply to yacht charters, private events, and onboard experiences.
Services may be delayed, rescheduled, modified, or cancelled due to weather, storms, hurricanes, lightning, unsafe conditions, marina closures, government restrictions, emergencies, labor interruptions, supply delays, vendor delays, or any circumstance beyond our reasonable control.
La Mar Society reserves the right to postpone or decline service when conditions are unsafe, unsuitable, or outside the agreed scope.
